Luhua Chemival Co. in Zibo, Shandong province, China, is the leading producer of C5 separation products in China (C5 is derivative of crude oil), from which petroleum resin is produced and used in the rubber, adhesive, coating, printing and paper industries. The company has several subsidiaries in China: Luhua Tongfang facility, Tonghui facility and Maoming facility.

In January 2009, a year after CIVC's first investement, CIVC has made its first RMB denomination investment in a Chinese Company: CIVC and SCGC invested around $2.5M in Luhua Chemical Co.
